During these same anguished weeks, people and nations all over the world have been looking for new ways to help Haiti – with no consensus yet as to the best approach:

ATD Fourth World calls for an assessment of the Millenium Development Goals

Since the G20 meeting in Pittsburg it has been clear that the priority of the world’s leaders is to preserve the financial system. For us, however, it is human beings that remain at the heart of our concerns. One of our current priorities is to investigate the effects of the Millenium Development Goals on those people and families facing the most extreme consequences of social exclusion and poverty.
