In meeting a delegation of people with first-hand experience of poverty on October 17, 2007, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Mr. Ban Ki-moon, stressed the importance of mobilizing and engaging all stakeholders in the struggle to end poverty, most notably the poorest and most excluded.
