Mexico

ATD Fourth World has been active in Mexico since October 2007.
Our main areas of activity are the following:
- Spreading knowledge about the life, thought and action of Father Joseph Wresinski, and also about ATD Fourth World’s aims and philosophy, both in academia and in Mexican society more generally.
- The annual celebration of the World Day to Overcome Extreme Poverty.
- Recruitment of Mexican allies for training in our philosophy, who can then pass on what they have learned to society at large and/or make long-term commitments to work with the poorest families for the eradication of poverty.
- Collaboration with institutions that work with poor populations.
- Promoting friendships between rich and poor children by means of the Tapori Network.
